Converse/Dazed Emerging Artists Award Exhibition 2010

I curated the inaugural Converse/Dazed Emerging Artists Award Exhibition at Stephen Friedman Gallery, London in July 2010. 

The major new art prize was designed to offer an exciting platform to emerging artists under the age of 35, with a first prize award of £6,000 and £1,000 for each of the four short listed artists. 

Winner Peter Ainsworth along with short listed artists: Francesca Anfossi, Steve Bishop, Laura Buckley and Jess Flood-Paddock were selected from a staggering number of entries by a panel of art industry insiders: galleries Sadie Coles, artist Mark Titchner, writer Tom Morton, Isobel Harbison and Tim Marlow and Dazed's visual arts editor Francesca Gavin.
